Have you ever thought....?

I am going to write a book - a best-seller, mind you - about how much it costs the world to NOT follow the Golden Rule. Here are a few chapter ideas:
1. We wouldn't need to pay School Police if students would just follow the rules.
2. We wouldn't need malpractice insurance if doctors would just do what was absolutely best for patients without fear of reprocussions.
3. We wouldn't need to buy security systems, bars, and extra locks for our homes if people would just "not covet thy neighbor's" things.
4. We wouldn't need to constantly buy/upgrade computer security software if people would NOT invent worms, viruses, and other such destroying agents.
5. We wouldn't need to worry so much about identity theft and the reprocussions of trying to rebuild trust with your name in the world
6. We wouldn't have killers, rapists, child molesters, domestic violence, and other such horrific crimes against innocent people.
7. We wouldn't need to build so many prisons nor spend so much on correction.
8. We wouldn't waste tax dollars on repeatedly covering up graffiti.
9. We wouldn't need 4 security measures just to open a bottle of Tylenol.
10. We wouldn't need people to 'adopt a highway' if people would just throw away their own trash.

11. We would safely be able to enter an intersection when our light turns green.
12. We would be able confidently run to the store late at night alone.
13. We could leave our windows open in the spring and fall (houses as well as cars)
14. We could be sure that the food we're buying hasn't already expired
15. We could believe the car mechanic or air conditioner repairman when he says something major needs to be done or else

If people would "Do Unto Others You Would Like Others To Do Unto You," we wouldn't have to pay out NEARLY what we currently do (don't get me started on the stimulus packages and bailouts!) and we could enjoy a more peaceful life.

If you have any other ideas, please feel free to comment (press comment below this post). Have a great day...and watch your back!!!!! ;o)
